If it's connected via s-Video then you call for to make sure your driver is updated and supports this portion.
More info would be nice... how do you connect your tv to your pc? Did you use the s-video cable? what type of video card do you enjoy?

Do you have the correct drivers installed. If not, it will most predictable not detect the second device. Also, if you are using an Nvida card, go into the nvidia control panel and create sure the "TV" option and "clone" are enabled. I am not fairly sure how to do this on ATI cards but I am sure it is similar.
