Monitor problem?

I enjoy a gateway computer and every day here for a when i turn it on vertical lines are at the top of my monitor my query is do i need a unmarked monitor or is it my graphics card

Answer:
My first reaction to your problem be to suspect your graphics card. I guess because of the fact that a bleak video signal typically causes problems such as vertical lines and depressing bars at the top of the eyeshade.

Now, that's not to say that your monitor isn't experiencing difficulties.... But, I would try adjust my screen resolution and also the re-acquaint yourself with rate in your display settings. If the problem change significantly or goes away, I would blame the graphics card since it be my inital intuition anyway.

Although, before making any fixed diagnosis it would be a good conception to try another monitor with your graphics card, or your monitor next to another graphics card.
if u have a laptop plug your monitor and use the laptop as a desktomp. If its still alike it's the monitor if it improves, it's the graphics card
Try a different monitor. If it still happen, it's probably the graphics card, else, the monitor. If it looks like it's the graphics card and another graphics card give the same problem, consequently it might be software related (virus, corruption, etc.).
