check out the computers at dell.com and hp.com reasonably priced..and great machines...that can touch gaming...
Well you have made a well brought-up chice in thinking what you're gonna do beside your PC before buying it. first of adjectives I would like to put in the picture you if you want performance you enjoy to pay for it (thats the international rule ha ha ha), you did not tell what OS you're planning to use. If its VISTA you hav to retribution alot. but for XP you dont have to settle up that much, but you can get the recital you need. I'm giving you the specs assuming you're going to run on a XP SP2 tool
Processor Intel 3.06 GHz (preferably HT)
VGA Nvidia 128/256/512 (depending on your budget) - buy with TurboCache (gives alot of activities boost)
Ram min 512MB DDR2 or 1GB recommended
HDD - your chice again
DVD-ROM/RW
Intel/ASUS Motherboard (those two are the best)
pls note, if you're going for a vista OS platform run for
Intel Core2Duo Processor
2GB ram
512MB VGA (nVidia 8 series)
plus your trappings
good luck and adjectives the best!
hope this helps you...
you want dual core processor AMD or INTEL. DDR2 Memory of atleast 2 see and a PCI express 16 video card with atleast 512 of bump. power supply of atleast 550W.
I built one with a gamming rig for 1500 bucks it have a AMD 2.6 dual core processor and 2 gig of corsair knock against. but it can handle anything I throw at it including BF2 to be exact knows to be a resource hog.
if dont want to build your own look within to dell or HP.
Other answers mention Dell and HP. They make suitable computers, but very few are suited for hardcore gaming because they enjoy wimpy video cards. Make sure you can add a PCIExpress16 card and catch at least a 7600GS. Also 2GB RAM.
