It can be done:
1. your computer needs to know how to do 640x480 video (which isn't good quality)
2. your TV wishes to be able to do any at least 800x600 or better.
3. the best leeway is to have a spanking new tv with s video interface and connect that to an s video output from the computer.
4. even next, reading email will be difficult. but movies and games would be possible.
It could be done. but I would not recomend it. The picture quality of a TV even a HI def TV is not a accurate as a computer monitor.
If you do not have an SVGA surrounded by on the back of your small screen, or if you do not have an S-Video out, on the stern of your computer along with an S-Video contained by on the back of your small screen, then you will call for to purchase what they call a "TV card", which will allow you to output a coax signal. It looks resembling crap though.

Your graphics card wants to support S-video as well as your TV (most tv's do). If you enjoy an LCD tv, you can just plug it contained by.
you have to assure if your TV peak has the port duplicate of your PC (usualy not the same port), if you enjoy then slickly you can do it, but if you don't have the port consequently you can not.... or you can if you manage to bring an adapter

it is accomplished glibly, but you need to know how your Video card outputs, VGA S-Video...
If its VGA and your using a tv that solely accepts 75ohm coax next you will need a scan converter and a RF modulator.
If your tv accept composite video/audio (RCA) then simply the scan converter.
If your v card puts out S-video and your tv accepts s-Video after just a cable.
If you want to use the s-video but your tv doesnt adopt S-video you can get a S-video converter, walmart have them, S-video in and any 75ohm coax/ or Composite out.

If you have a brand investigational TV with a HDMI connector, and a computer video card beside a HDMI connector too, then yes. Otherwise, you stipulation to have a composite output, S-video output, SCART output, primarily an output on your special video card wich is compatible with your TV video inputs. These video cards are not fitted by evasion on most computers.

Cons: bleak image power when you use your computer. The reason is call aliasing, and caused by the reality the TV definition is different (less) than your computer's. If you have a HD TV beside the same pixel definition as one of the possible ones on your video card after fine, otherwise forget it.
