It's adjectives opinionated, just return with one from dell, their LCD monitors are pretty nice.

I use a 23 inch Viewsonic and its awesome.
Viewsonic have some nice ones & I like Gateway monitors as economically because they have USB surrounded by and out. I can't give you any model numbers though.
best depends on how much your prepared to spend and exactly what needs you hold to be met.
The term "best" is subjective, so I'd read out its up to you.
From my personal experience, Samsung, Viewsonic, Acer and NEC make some really suitable 22" panels.
The piece is, that most of them use the same panel from impossible to tell apart vendor, the single difference is the exterior casing and some of the power and inverter components.
Sceptre have a 22" LCD Monitor that has a 2ms response time and newegg have it for $249.00. The company has be around, but not really mainstream until very soon, a lot of Airlines use the touch eyeshade version of their monitors.
apple make a great 23" display, the hd cinema display for $899.

undoubtedly the Samsun sync master 226 is the best bang for the bucks plus it comes next to a 3 years manufacturer warranty cant overwhelm that with a bat and @ 2ms responce time and 3000:1 dynamic contrast its clearly one of the best
I researched this request for information thoroughly before I made my purchase and I am totally confident that I in a minute have the best monitor on the flea market: The Samsung SyncMaster 226BW. 2ms vs. 5ms for most others, 3000:1 contrast ratio vs 800:1 for most others.
I bought it at Best Buy and opened the box as soon as the Dutch auction was complete. It be the dreaded A Panel. However, the floor display unit be an S Panel so I insisted that they give me that one. The concensus of inference among the reviews I read is that the A panel is inferior to the S panel.
At any rate, the picture is absolutely stunning! I love it and you will too.
