Sometimes, my monitor will net a high-pitch nouns that give me a headache. How can I stop it?

That horrible noisy noise is the flyback transformer, and those of us beside sensitive ears really hate it.
Here are a couple of things you can try: jump to your display properties (right click in the middle of the desktop, select 'properties' and dance to the right hand tab) and see what your monitor settings are. You should find an 'advanced' tab, and a place where on earth you can set the refresh rate on your monitor. Set it no greater than 70 or 72Hz. That might cure your noise problem. Don't set it lower than 70 hz, though- lower than that and you'll see a definite flicker.
The only other piece I can suggest is replacing your CRT monitor with a nice LCD flat panel. No din, no flicker. I really like them.

Flick it, hit it on the side, turn it past its sell-by date and on. It works for me, but iof it's to no avail.. Buy a new one.

Or, you can try lowering your monitor refresh rate, although this might not oblige, depending on your situation. To do this in Windows XP, dance to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Monitor. Lower your screen strengthen rate there.

My monitor was doing duplicate thing and I found out that I have a shake light flash bedside light that was setting close to my monitor. The flimsy has a tremendously strong magnet inside of it. Once I moved the shake light flashlight the monitor hasn't ever have a problem since
If that sound give you headache, perhaps the insulation on the flyback is failing and a gleam is shocking in the flyback shield. You should alter your monitor inmediatly!!
