I'd fairly have the 4:3 because I'm afraid the resolution of the 16:10 would push my video card too easier said than done in gaming. Basically, is the difference contained by 800 and 1000:1 enough (same entrepreneur, don't bring up the "no-standard" argument) to warrant the purchase of the widescreen?

mostly it depends on what your video card is an what it can switch, I recently Purchased a 16:10 22" Samsung 226BW 2ms monitor and love it, but for some use, i feel as though 16:9 would be a bit better, specifically for 1080 HD seeing as that HD @ 1080 resolution is a 16:9 aspect ratio. what ever you do, go widescreen, full blind is dying fast and will soon be as adjectives as betamax tapes. (k so possibly not that fast, but still, lol) Really, hold a look at getting the bigger of the two and then consider good for a new card. Dx10 is coming too!

I own had a wide open screen for a bit while now and it is the best display that i own ever had.
