There is a small screen switch which sometimes sticks. On mine it is on the right lower side of the Screen you may see rather extension of plastic that is used to "trip the switch" when the peak closes. Just check and be sure nothing is maintain the switch closed.
The other possibility is that is have been turned on to an external blind.. press ALT+F5 to see if it will switch back on.
If neither of those work, connect an external monitor and check other settings. Other than that your blind may have lost the backlight which is used to illuminate the eyeshade -- that will make it appear muddy all the time.
might be fruitless ram or the ribbon cable to the lcd could be doomed to failure
