turn it sour then hit f8 on startup-then do a restore to a earlier time-if that doesn't work do a retrieval with the retrieval cds-if u didn't make any you will enjoy to call hp to buy them
turn past its sell-by date your computer, open the the defence of your PC, removed your video card on the vga slot, get a brush consequently clean it, after that put it again on your slot, cover your PC, consequently turn on

Got same problem near my monitor too. sometimes tapping it several times does work.........but i guess we stipulation to buy a new one. Our monitor is more or less to retire. :-)
