How do you explain to if a LCD TV is DDC Compatible when the booklet does not read aloud anything in the region of DDC?

I am trying to connect my PC graphics card DVI output to my LCD TV near DVI input. But there is no sync detected. The Graphics Card Tech Support tell me that it is possible that my LCD is not DDC Compatible, how to tell?
