1) Well you see I newly want to know is it bad to hang on to your monitor on for like along time...close to at night after i've finished using the computer
Answer: Yes it is Bad... The reason Follows
a) U cant save ELECTRICITY and Your ELECTRICITY BILL.
b) Any Electronic Items GENERATES HEAT... So If ur Monitor have a life span for 10 years.. due to the HEAT GENERATED it will decrease to 9 years.
c) Even thou the POWER saver is ON on ur computers at NIGHT..at hand is something called a CHIP working to regulate the CONDITION or ur CHOICE...soo ur MONITOR is not COMPLETELY sour.. ITS in SLEEP MODE...
Your POWER BUTTON entry..... CHECK ON ur MONITOR SETTING for SLEEP Mode..will Solve it from Pressing the Power Button Several Time...
Hope my reply solves...Keep VOTING and Keep ASKING YAHOO.
Cheers pal!
yes
yah huh.
not a big traffic
It's only unpromising if you leave a program or your desktop on for a afternoon or so without a blind saver on one of those modern monitors. Then you'll hold permanent "burn in".
Well you should own a power saver selection in the peak saver option tab that makes it okay to set off it on. I had a Computer trainer in Jr. High who told us not to turn rotten the monitor because it messed up the buttons.
I think to hang on to ur monitor alone switched on is not so bad but a llittle bit. So i prefer u not to do close to that. But even if u did like that i dont focus it will affect the computer inversly.
no
without a screensaver yes...it will do hurt to your monitor unless it is one of the newest lcd's w/ flourescent backlighting. Even next you are decreasing the life expectancy of the monitor.
Other than those reason the monitor uses 80% of the electricity drawn by your computer. Lower your electric bill and just hit the power button when not using it.
Hard on the power supply. Not lone that but just reckon of the wasted joie de vivre and not to mention the electric bill. So shut it off when not within use because the fact is monitors lose ability over time..
No problem to let surrounded by on for years, except for the planet
Yeah keeping on over time is not good. So,I suggestion your on it 6 hour or 12 hour than give it rest just about a hour than it will reduce the risk to catch burn or damaged.
My guidance. If you do not use the monitor and the CPU, just switch them stale at the plug or extension (whatever you have). No standy or hibernate (too much trouble with this one) This will not lone reduce your vim bill drastically, this will also save the planet and put a tick on your "to do list" of fitting chores. Do you sleep with lights on? If not, why should you head off your monitor on 24/7. As for the switch, well, your monitor will probably own bad pixels (if LCD) or burn within (if CRT) well in the past the switches go kaput.
Yes, its not a fitting idea.
Not so much near TFTs but with CRTs you can achieve the screen figure burnt into the blind and you will get a phantasm like effect (no thing how cool that sounds its not good!).
So yer not to mention the power it would lug up I would turn the monitor off.
