Live Streaming football on my TV . .?

I am looking at hooking up my PC to HDTV to scrutinize live streaming footy from the net.
Just wondering if anyone have done this, & is the picture quality any better on the TV than on my PC monitor.
Oh, & as I am buying a contemporary PC soon, is there a unquestionable graphics card or something il need to catch the best quality picture on my TV?!?!

Answer:
Live sport over the internet is crap part - the low video bitrate makes it blocky and convulsive and not very unforced to see it as it's fast-paced. When plugged into the TV, if anything it will look worse as the high definition of the TV will show up adjectives the defects within the video streaming quality.
I'd linger for HDTV broadcasts, as these are better than streamed tv off the lattice.

All of the streaming football I watch, shalln't set down my team, but Liverpool FC are fantastic too, is patchy and nil on the quality of middle-of-the-road analogue tv, most of the time.
