Help! My computer won't work!?

OK so, this is an elder computer, windows 98. It have a crt monitor. Now i have the monitor, hooked up, the speakers, the mouse, the printer, and i own power coards hooked up to the blank spots in the monitor and the tower. Everytime i start it up, the peak doesn't display a picture, and the monitor keeps beep. Please help me, is here anything i need to hook up, anything i want to do, etc.

Answer:
Open the case, try thinly pressing the video card and memory cards into the board, this is often the judgment a machine beep and refuses to start.
sounds resembling a bad graphics card, or motherboad,

ok hers a examine for you:

the cable coming form your monitor does it go into a horzontial slot implicit the bottom of the computer or on a verticle plug near the top of the comp crust???
sounds like the frozen drive is bad, usually beep noises is a sign of a deceased hard drive.
Maybe it's only trying to tell you that you hold too many things hooked up at once or capture a new monitor or the best picking would be is to go to best buy and ask the G.E.E.K squad what wrong
i suppose u need to be in motion 2 a computer specialist.
it sounds like one of twot hings is going on one as answer one said (which is most lily) your graphics card or videocard is to dated, and wont support the modern moniter. OR maybe your graphics DRIVER is to hoary, in which casing you can downlaod an isntall a new one
your push probably come out.
hi, the beeping indicates that in attendance is a hardware problem it could be any thing from the sturdy drive to the memory it could be the vidoe card or the motherboard

you should unplug the computer from the wall, open it and vacuum the inside thoroughly

its an behind the times piece so i wouldn't advise you to put any money into it computers are completely cheap today's days

good luck anyways!!!!!
Yea in attendance is a specific cable that goes from the moniter to the computer tower.
You entail that to finish setting it up. :) good luck
look for the brightness contrast on the side of the monitor..its close to a volume button
I'm afraid you're going to have to do some research. If you don't enjoy the disk that came beside the monitor and mouse, etc. you're probably going to have to download some drivers.

These elder setups aren't like USB devices.

Could be closely of things. Better find a local nerd.
