Contrast popping up PLEASE abet its driving me crazy!?

Ok, I other have the screwy chance problems. When you push the buttons on the monitor itself and you get a menu for approaching positioning of the screen and brightness and contrast.. that stuff- my contrast (JUST the contrast part) keep flashing me about every 3-4 minutes for around 30 seconds. Ive run scanners and spyware and adjectives that stuff. But I dont think its get to do with anything on the harddrive. Nothings pushing the buttons down, they aren't stuck because i'm not getting the full menu. Just the contrast option. Some one mentioned re-installing the driver for the monitor. If I do that, what happen then. If its a monitor problem, what will a driver do to fix it? Its driving me crazy becuz its surrounded by the middle opf my screen. It's be doing this for about a month in a minute. And recently its gotten worse/more adjectives.

Answer:
I would definitely see if you can find driver updates for your monitor. If in attendance are updates, they should be on the manufacturer's Web site. It may take some digging though, as updated drives can be buried inwardly the site. Updating the drivers won't affect anything else on your computer, so you needn't worry give or take a few that. If updated drivers do not work, try checking the pins on the monitor connector to make sure they aren't bent or any pins are missing. Also take home sure the power cord is firmly in place. You may also want to check your monitor settings by doing the following:

1. Right click anywhere on your desktop.

2. Choose properties.

3. Choose the settings tab.

4. Click the advanced button.

5. In the display nouns, make sure that it's set to "normal size dpi".

6. Now, click on the monitor tab and see what the galvanize rate is. You may want to try lowering it a bit if you can.

7. Hit OK and reboot the computer to see if that helps.

Also, if your monitor is thoroughly old that can be a problem too. In that luggage, I would buy a new monitor.
