It will really depends on what connections your computer and your TV have - basically look at your TV and the back of your computer to see what connections they enjoy - they need to meeting.
The "best" connection is digital. Somewhat sporadic on HD TVs is the DVI input (large rectangular connector) - these were on elder sets. Many newer computers have them. The upright news is that if your newer HD set have an HDMI input, DVI is easily converted from PC beside an inexpensive adapter because they are very similar.
