LCD-its works so much better, takes smaller amount room, its clearer, and it uses less strength
LCD...better picture, takes up smaller number space...
LCD - takes smaller quantity space, clearer (so better for eyes) and uses less power, portable
Benefits of lcd, you no longer inevitability to worry around screen burn, you still enjoy to look straight on to see the screen surrounded by the proper contrast, just the different for a crt!
LCD
1) better picture.
2) lasts longer.
Unless you are within the design field, it probably doesn't much business which kind of monitor you capture. Since I am in the design grazing land, I greatly prefer CRT because it doesn't blur things like LCD monitors tend to. CRT monitors are also cheaper. LCD monitors contain solution crystals that can freeze if they get colder than 50 degree Fahrenheit. If that doesn't matter to you, LCD monitors are much lighter and embezzle up less space. So, honestly I would buy which ever you can find cheaper if I be you.
CRT - better picture and costs less, but heavier and bulkier.
LCD - lighter and take up less space, but crystals can freeze and picture is blurred.
Check out www.tigerdirect.com. I of late got two 19" CRT monitors for $120 respectively a week or so ago.
CRT gives you the best resolution and brightness.
LCD for smaller amount space and "cool"-ness to the eyes. Plus it won't explode and cause the fire alarm to walk off within case it conks out unlike the CRT that will first leak an ultrasonic whine only to dance poof with black smoke rising latter on.
Well it depends on the type of applications that you use.
If you are into gaming or a big fan of watching vedios on your PC consequently i would definitly recomment CRT's over LCD because:
-> CRT's usually have a far faster response time to the change that take place on the Screen. In LCD the Ghosting effect is much adjectives and will definitly be a big a nucense in vedios or gaming
-> CRT's hold a much much larger viewing angle then LCD's. So you wont hold to keep yourslef contained by the front of the Monitor.
-> CRT's can produce a much better contrast ratio. So the images look much vibrant and vivid than LCD's
-> CRT's can be severely easily cleaned consequently LCD's as they are very much prone to pressure sprain during cleaning. You can have a look at adjectives the pervious questions posted here. One guy in fact had his lcd eyeshade covered with Black spots after anyone cleaned!!!.
However is you are gonna do routing websurfing, word processing and using other common applications than LCD's are definitly the course to go.
If you do digital photography LCD is completely useless for displaying correct colours and is exceedingly difficult to syncronise with printers, scanners or digital cameras. And course overpriced.
If you want to save space next go for an LCD.
LCD - take up less space, better picture.
