Computer and monitor request for information?

I enjoy a HP slimline computer, and a synaps LCD flatscreen monitor, They both have worked fine for the later couple months, i have made no alterations, but today when i turned the PC on, my monitor have no input signal on it, i tried jiggling the wires re connectiong rebooting, i tried my husbands monitor which is one and the same one as i have, and it works no problem, i put mine rear in, and its a no budge.. the power light stays red and iuts usualy yellow when its on and working fine, i dont know if my monitor blew, or if nearby is something i can do or try? someone PLEASE help!

Fool around near the switches on the monitor. One may bring it back on splash.
Perhaps you have an internally loose telecommunication or possibly your monitor overheated and fried.
it may be that the cord to the monitor has shorted or have a broken wire.
you please check your knock against, battery, power cord, and put money on to back cable. these are electrical/electronic parts so its tricky to say anything minus seeing the system. its better if you check your system by your nearest system shop. power failure produce monitor damages. its very adjectives...hope you'll find and be able to solve the problem. thank you.EmOn
Most cause reason could be your monitor Data cable gone impossible and it needs to be replaced. I have happen to my monitor also when I took it over to Service center where on earth they had replaced the Monitor Data cable and it did the trick and works pretty capably since then. They said this usually happen because of damaged or imprecise data cable. So inevitability not to worry and travel for a data cable conveyance by yourself or may be you can take a backing from monitor technician or may be you can bring down the monitor to Service center if it out of warranty. Check and see if you have your computer within sleep mode when the light is ginger it is telling you that it is within sleep .. if you have a moon similar to button on your keys... click it and it will come out of sleep mode.. if you be not getting no power to your monitor no light will not come on.
The VGA or DVI cable probably get damaged. Try replacing it and see what happen.
