Is a Dell moniter compatible beside my HP Pavillion computer?

I broke my HP moniter and own a chance to buy used Dell moniter for $20

Answer:
Yep. In reality I'm looking at your hi-larious avatar via my 17inch Dell monitor which is plugged into my P166 MMX HP Pavilion! (about 11yrs old)

It's a relatively new monitor on a positively ancient computer, so unless your HP predates electricity you shouldn't own any problems...
sure why not.
Yes, as long as it is the same type of monitor (CRT or LCD) next it should plug in and work fine next to any modern computer (Except a Mac, they think they are too special for PC hardware.)
It will work.
yes it will work fine, nought further than plugging it in is required for it to work
As long as you enjoy the right cables. Yes
