Have you tried---
Display Properties,
Setting tab,
Advanced button,
then Color Correction tab
seize a new monitor, that one might be all set to die.
did it just walk dark by its self lift it to a pc
store take them to check it over its not good have a go at the settings on it you may requirement a new one
are you sure the problm isn't from the cable of the monitor?
sounds like you own a virus...run a check .
Have you tryed disconecting the power to see if it will reset it self?
u change the setting of the monitor using clear controller s/w not with the switches on the monitor

amend the monitor Get a new one, if thats the unmarked one then lately go to that company an exchange it for other.
Maybe near is some problem with the picture tube of the monitor. I have the same problem. Better find it checked with a technician or it could worsen.

If it is is CRT tube type monitor, and it is only a few years ripened it shouldn't be dieing already. Try going into the menu and looking for 'DEGAUZE" and select that. I have both a CRT and an LCD and the CRT desires a degauze at least once every 15 hours of use.
