forget shops.your paying their rent.. as for getting cheapo monitors.. don't bother.. you settle up for what you get.. also goggle "comatose pixel checker"

me I use LG flatron monitors =) hold 3 and no problems with them, 2 different series of em...
as for getting ones next to speakers, don't bother.. the inbuilt ones aren't really up to much.
get something approaching a logitech x-230 or better and you'll be far happier speaker wise..
