My HP computers eyeshade is in part black and I can't see to click on items...the icon show thru but that is to say adjectives

Answer:
Looks similar to the backlight is dying, if your screen is an LCD.
and even so you still managed to ask this question--you're a trooper!
sounds approaching it's time for a new monitor
Maybe you should try and reposition our eyeshade? Move it in decree to see all of it and as a result all the icon.
Increase the brightness of the monitor. On the monitor, there should be a circular button.. Press it and be in motion through the menu which should be fully visible. Adjust the brightness and contrast by increasing the effectiveness, then everything should be perceptible again.
temporary fix is to freshly give the monitor a few dutiful slaps on the side on the plastic and it might get the color guns to work for awhile but eventually you will enjoy to replace it. this is a test we did on monitors when I worked at gateway to kind sure the color guns were okay and if they weren't you could enjoy dark spots, diminishing, ect. and by smacking it a few times you could actually seize a usable screen and I used a monitor similar to that for years before it died plus I have something to get my aggression out on. also move the cord around a bit at both ends to see itf the picture get any better those cords go doomed to failure very well if there moved around much
buy a trial monitor.
have you try to reset the monitor blind at some time trying to make it big peak
