Almost certainly, yes. nVidia provides dual peak support, but it must also be included in hardware. Since your card have two outputs, I would say yes.
I use dual monitors. Windows XP will "see" the monitors as soon as both are plugged contained by, although you will probably want to make sure you enjoy monitor drivers installed for both after plugging in. Right-click on the eyeshade and you will see options for Monitor !. You can click on Monitor 2 (above) to choose option for that screen.
Windows dual-screen mode have "startup" bar on one peak. This is what I use. I can maximize a separate program on each peak and drag windows between screen. I can also extend windows to include both screen, and I can run the monitors at different resolutions.

contained by the box that your card came beside you should of been bundled a dvi to vga converter,this will convert your second avalible monitor output(which is the dvi)so you will enjoy 2 standard vga connectors
however if your monitor supports dvi then use the dvi connector,but its best to keep hold of both the connectors the same(2 x vga / 2 x dvi)
once connected go to the nvidia control panel(right click desktop and select nvidia control panel),next go to display>multiple displays
you can consequently configure both your displays,the control panel will have allready renowned it has two monitors attached so they will be allready configured,its a moment ago a case of setting them up to the passageway you want them
some games actually support dual screen so as to make the games more fun,and some applications such as video editing can utelize the dual screen to save time,for example keep under surveillance the playback on one screen and bowdlerize the movie on the other.good eh
i intuitively have the geforce 7600gt,be going to get your 7600gs but the guy contained by the shop made me a deal and the gt magazine has a greater clock speed(560mhz in the gt compared to 400mhz within the gs)
and yes you can switch between monitors,it depends aswell on the application being used,but in attendance is a option within the nvidia control panel for switching displays
