HELP!! Laptop eyeshade stepped on!?

Please Help. My laptop be on the side of my bed open. My brother get up and stepped on the screen. He departed the room and didn't say anything. The computer have a weird sucker on it. I turned it on and one half of the eyeshade shows the weird smudge. Do I have to buy a fresh laptop or buy a screen. Or can I do anything by myself?

To get hold of a new eyeshade bought and installed will cost you close to the same price as a different laptop! I've tried to replace a monitor bulb and will never try that one again! I ruined my laptop. I ended up have to buy a new laptop.

I importantly suggest you buy a new laptop and exterminate the brother. Death by laptop!
You can buy just the blind.

...flip the laptop and ull find the battery ...so try to unfold it and take the mobile out and put it back contained by ...thats wat i did for mine..

Depends on the laptop, contact your factory owner (ie. dell, HP) and tell them what happend and ask them for give a hand. After all, they made the computer.
