Why does my monitor step black when delete video files?

It drops to black for a couple of second then comes put money on on, as if it was powered past its sell-by date and back on. (I'm running Windows XP Pro beside an Nvidia Quadro4 NVS with AGP8X, dual monitors. Both monitors turn black.) Anyone know?

It is refreshing the video cache file. Try increasing the margins
Change the power cables for monitors
you havent told more or less the ram of your workstation try to upgrade the ram of your notebook and hard disk.
