Widescreen monitor settings?

I a short time ago purchased a 19 inch widescreen monitor and I cannot get the aboriginal resolution on the windows display. I tried right click properties and settings it is not here. Anyone know how I can get window to display 16:9 resolutions?

Answer:
1440 x 900 is what you want
do a little sum to serve 1440 devided by 900 equal 1.6. 1280 x 800 is also 1.6
do this to your screen sixes and any that work out to 1.6 you can use.
tip download and install the most recent sound and video drivers for your card ( I have to for mine )
Your video card needs to support 16:9. Make sure you enjoy the most recent drivers for your video card. Did you try to change the resolution within settings? See if you have a resolution setting of 1280 x 768. Choose that setting and it may give a hand.
Go to Display Property-setting-advanced- Graphic property

check to set proper resolution if that time doesn't set u can reinstall Graphic Driver
