How do I install a second monitor to matching computer?

I own a laptop and the monitor is working, but I want to install my TV set as another monitor to display the same, the problem is that my laptop peak is 16:9 and my TV is 3:4 so it doesnt fits in my TV blind. I have a Radeon Video Card and when I walk to Display Properties, it says that I can hold 2 monitors. I connect my TV to the computer with an S-Video Cord (or somehting approaching that).

well its your video card its a hook up surrounded by the back of your computer that looks resembling a mouse hook up but its called s video and the point for this is is carrys sound and video to your other tv or moniter wich within turn you hook up to your tv if you have a tv near s video hook up in the rear you have see it when you buy a s video cord to go to your also progress to your propertys screen you own enable the moniter wich it on

you involve to change the display output whenever you required to display it on your TV, set your screen size to 640 x 480, 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 and at a revitalize rate that your TV can accept (normally 50Hz to 60 Hz)

or you can download the powerstrip to tweak your display

I am not sure if this help but we have a 2 computers and to collect space we bought a cable at compusa (although you can find it on ebay also) and it lets us switch from computer to computer on duplicate monitor.

We have 1 monitor and 2 computers but the cable let you use the same monitor beside either computer by doing ctrl ctrl 1 it go to one computer and when we do ctrl ctrl 2 it goes to the other one.

We enjoy 1 keyboard 1 mouse 1 monitor but we can run both on one monitor by doing that.
