LCD TV connected to my PC. Help.?
The picture i draw from now shows saw-like text (quite complicated to read), pixelated icons & some ghosting.
My Set-Up:
26" HD LCD TV (currently @ 60hz) - 1360x768
VGA cable from TV to Graphics Card
Windows XP Media Center Edition
Graphics Card: nVidea GeForce FX 5500 128mb
# i believe it could be a problem beside the graphics card or VGA cable i am using (maybe both).
#wondering if a 'DVI - HDMI cable could improve the picture quality'
thx,
hope someone can backing.
Answer:
S-video
Most video cards have a S-video output that can be connected to the tv S-Video input.
The dummy on the screen have a relationship with your resolution settings. Although adjectives S-Video outputs use a fixed low resolution to maintain compatibility beside your TV, it scales according to what the resolution of your computer is set to. Adjust your resolution in the settings tab of your display properties. Use a test no higher than 800 x 600 next to 16-bit color. A setting of 640 x 480 will be much easier to see, but icons and window will appear very full-size.

try DVI connected see how that goes if no apt then get hold of the ATI 1gb video card
Get the component cable and set the resolution to 720p.
Right click any empty space on your desktop. Click on properties. Go to the Advance tab. Drag the Screen Resolution slider adjectives the way to more. Also trademark sure the color is set to the highest (usually 32 bit.) Hope this works.
