How do i check to see if my monitor is VGA?

VGA is the type of cable running from the computer tho the monitor. vga is shaped like a trapezoid and dvi would be resembling a rectangle. most monitors have vga. but it seem like youve plugged a cable into the card that go to the monitor anyway and it should work. that might not be your problem
