When I boot up, monitor turns on, after a few secs following shuts bad.?
Answer:
We had what we thought be a dead monitor at the library I work at. Turned out that the vga connector into the CPU be loose. The tech jiggled the nouns and the monitor came stern on. Hope I explained it correctly.
Are you sure your computer is booting up to the operating system? Do you hear the hard drive crunching similar to it's doing anything?
You probably have a problem beside you computer and the monitor connection.
try replacing that near a new monitor nouns
The problem is with the graphics subsection of your motherboard, or your graphics card (if you are using one).. or it could even be a faulty port near a broken pin/ loose connection
sounds close to a video problem your (and i hope you have one )
video card may be crapping out if its a card replace it if its onboard lift it to a local shop
Is this a onboard video card or seperate pci card? Either way it appears your video card may be failling. I would reccomend buying a unmarked card and installing it should fix the problem.
i think you own a short. either that or a busted monitor. try putting the monitor beside the odd resolution on and varying the settings. right click in window and go to properties. turn to settings. change the resolution to something you are more comfortable next to.
thanks
