Dark monitor: my blind is too brown to see the monitor's configuration menu!?

My eyeshade has some months mortal very ominous and I was compensating that by tallying bright with the pictographic card's software, but now it is really night and I want to see if there is anything I can do at the monitor's menu, but the little fanlight that pops up with the monitor's configuration when I click the monitor's buttons is toooo brown, totally black, even if I add bright beside the graphic card that wont affect this menu of the monitor so it is too obscurity to read it and configure it, what can I do? is there a instrument to reset a monitor without using that menu?

If you hold a dell laptop, the brightness can be adjusted by pressing the "fn" push button and the page up button. Not sure on other brands. If you provide me with the model, I can look it up.
none taht i know of, im guessing your moniter is a CRT, and its probabaly really ancient, and it wasnt made good, im sure osmone know how to do somthing like that. i dont, my moniter is awesome. wooot viewsonic!
Run your monitor software.Or travel to control panel,open system configuration box and click system-click hardware-click the display-monitor) and click for the driver update.If it's remain dusk cause your system have not configured.You can reset your menu in control panel.
Buy clean monitor. After four years, it's going to lose it's light.
