Why does window not dectect my monitor model properly and display it as a defaulting monitor?

it is because your monitor is not a window compliance...it means that the driver of your monitor is not included surrounded by the package provided by microsoft...
you requirement to install your monitor's driver...
try reinstalling the driver, or try windows update / microsoft update Good luck!
bcuse it doesn't find the drivers doesn't concern if it is the same brand
As mentioned else where on earth you should of had a disk next to the "driver " on board. If not look on the pattern for the file or at smallest find the specification of the unit and set the video driver beside those settings manually
