Go to Ryman or a similar stationer and you can buy special monitor wipe. If it is a standard TV screen next you can just use a VERY SLIGHTLY slimy cloth. But for LCD/plasma/laptop screens, the wipe are definitely the passageway forward. Never use detergents on any screens as these will mar them!

For a CRT get some Isopropyl Alcohol from the chemist and apply sparingly near a j-cloth.
Never use furniture polish near your workstation, or anything that isn't designed for use on a pc.
I would not reccommend monitor wipe, they are terrible things and smear your monitor feebly. I would say dampen with a tiny bit of brownie liquid and a dry cloth, it works better, or even try windowlene spray i hold and that works fantastic.
