I'm looking to buy a untried monitor, the one I enjoy very soon requires readjusting when I translate resolution...?

I hold to readjust the screen positioning and size beside the buttons on the monitor whenever I change resolution (it is an out-of-date crt). I am looking to buy a new monitor. How do I know if a monitor will hold the same problem? (I know for sure some monitors do not own this problem, but I do not know if all are similar to this now)

Answer:
you will have this problem if your computer one and only has analog hookup's (that is the 15 (or so) pin call a VGA. if you have a DVI-I plug it will adjust to the different settings. I only just bought a new compact desktop computer that have a DVI jack-but it was a DVI-D (I didn't know here was but one kind) it dos not work beside my DVI monitor. the way to detail is the DVI jack (on your computer) will be a white jack with the pins on the not here and on the right there will be a horizonal slot near two pins above it and two pins below it-the DVI-D does not have the two pins above or below the slot) if you own this jack on your computer (or are willing to buy a graphics card that have the DVI-I (they range from a low of just about $30 up to $500) and the $30 one is a really good one unless you enjoy a new lofty end gaming computer-so earnings $30 (this was from www.globalcomputer.com )(installation is a snap-only one slot accept the graphics card and you turn the computer off-take the cover off/ take the older card out (if there is one-a lot of the computers enjoy it built in-built in graphics/video card) and plug the unknown card in-when you turn the computer on it will recognize the unmarked card-you might have to stir online to update youe drivers-if you do it will notify you that it has clean drivers-and you're good to go-and be prepared for a integral new world of everything-picture and color will newly blow you away. I bought a 22" LCD from Costco for $259. (total with import tax and shipping was close to $300) you can bring a good 15 to 17" LCD for something over $100
a CRT will be analog and will hold the same problems as your infirm monitor.
If your OS is win millinium or older I would suggest you stay near a CRT and put up with the adjusting-unless you enjoy quite a bit of ram--have fun
you could other go to bestbuy or fry's electronics or a similar store that sell computer hardware and they usually have a display of "test" monitors that you can goof around near the settings on.. then after you find one you similar to you can get one impartially cheap on ebay.. i believe we pay more or less 50 bucks at work for a 15" lcd flatscreen off of ebay..
The solution would be to upgrade both your computer's video card and your monitor to one that uses a DVI nouns rather than the standard VGA.
