I turned my compter on and the monitor say 1: Auto Detect (Digital Input) Cannot Display This Video Mode. Optimum resolution 1680x1050 60Hz. I have tried resetting the computer but impossible to tell apart message keeps appearing. I con't even scenery any thing else on my computer. So how can I reset the computer or the moniter to get hold of it working. Thanks.
Answer:
first of all, this have nothing to do next to the computer as long as it's on. Stop restarting it.
Now, you have to find a button on your monitor i.e. going to switch the type of output because you obviously don't hold digital.
Boot into VGA mode.
To do this, hit the "F8" key a bunch of times back the "Windows XP" logo pops up on the screen. Select "Enable VGA mode" and it will set the resolution to the evasion that all monitors can display.
Then merely go into the display settings and reset the resolution.
