Energy set free mode won't come on?

can anyone inform me reasons perkiness save mode adjectives of a sudden does'nt come on,the monitor does but tower does'nt for past 2 days, nil else seems to be wrong.i own gateway emachine and am fairly unusual at this ,so plain english please,lol.thanks so much surrounded by advance

Well, nearby are a few possibilites.

1: Power Save mode has be disabled on the computer. You can check this by going to the CONTROL PANEL (from the start menu) and clicking POWER OPTIONS. In there, you can communicate your computer what power settings to use.

2: Power Save mode is still enabled, but your computer is always doing something so that it never kick in. This can be cause by a program doing some sort of work and preventing the PC from shutting down. Examples may include Windows Update, a Virus or Spyware scanner.

there are other things, but those are the two most promising. If neither of those is the case, consequently let me know and I'll post some other concept.
