Answer:
I'm going to thieve a stab at this. Did you replace a CRT monitor,(looks like a tv), near a digital flat screen?,(LCD or TFT). If so, and you enjoy the monitor's cord hooked on the computer side to a VGA port,(angled port with three staggered rows of 5 pins,[holes],each), after you have hooked a digital monitor to an analog port on the computer.Won't work. If it's built contained by graphics, it's on the motherboard. If the computer's new adequate it'll have a separate 'card' surrounded by a horizontal posistion in the middle of the computer,(mid to lower). This is call a 'graphic's card, or video card. Again if it's new plenty it should have two to three 'ports' on it. One the before-mentioned VGA port, two a DVI-I port, and perchance another port that we won't concern ourselves with for right in a minute. If you have this graphics card, and you don't enjoy the monitor 'hooked' to it, unplug, and hook it to this,(in the DVI-I port, it'll have three rows of eight holes, and a 'plus sign' slot next to a hole in respectively corner of the plus sign, whew!) If you do not have a graphics card contained by this PCI,(or PCI-Express), slot, and you're trying to use a digital monitor it's not going to work. This is if it's a digital monitor.
If it's a VGA monitor, and you have it hooked to the computers built-in graphics, and it have a graphics card that I have mentioned, unplug it, and plug it into the VGA port on the graphics card.
