widescreen is better if you use it for watching films at adjectives or playing games. It is also good contained by that you can have two page open & at a usable size at once which can be biddable if you are rewriting something from fresh or following a tutorial for example.
Downside is that it takes up more space, will probably cost more& i come across to have an issue next to some web page having TINY writing (though that may only just be me!).
In my opinion the pros far outweigh the cons. Do it.
Widescreen (16:9) is road better, because more is visible on the peak
If you plan on watching HD movies, a wide eyeshade LCD is better.
4:3 screen = webpages look inherent.
16:9 screen = some video files, dvds, etc look much better.
I enjoy used both. Right now I am using a laptop beside a 16:9 screen. My desktop have a 4:3 screen. The best article to consider is the overall quality of the monitor and how it will be used.
Web browsing? Go for el cheapo.
Online gaming or movies? Go for the best widescreen possible.
Wide screen, in my humble evaluation, distort images, or scrunch the eyeshade, so that you're further away, to see the entire "wide" shot! I was watching a friends broad screen the other afternoon, and Serena Williams was on, playing someone else (who wasn't as hot as her!) hey, we adjectives have our taste! and his widescreen made her look like an oompa loompa! Nope, I would turn for a standard, unless it's a top of the line far-reaching screen that have technology to overcome the image distortion.
