Should i buy a far-reaching eyeshade LCD 19" or regular LCD 19",?

the widescreen ones are cheaper, and the run of the mill was is for a while bit more expensive... that doesnt matter, i'm looking for behaviour, and quality. i usually use the computer for txt, approaching msn, word, not much gaming... and all that.. so which one would be better? on the widescreen wont the computer look akwardly streched out and smaller number room from top to bottom on the screen? i own seen afew at futureshop. but the ordinary one looks alot better, so which one was bettter general screen or ordinary LCD both are 19" the normal be seems taller, and the widescreen one seem alot wider... a little tooo wide-ranging... help plz

Answer:
Widescreen monitors hold a larger viewing area, so it is wonderful for gaming and watching movies. It doesn't hurt you while you are using it for chatting or drafting docs.

Since 19 Widescreen is cheaper than standard LCD, I would strongly suggest you to go for Widescreen LCD.
It adjectives comes down to personal preferance. I prefer widescreen myself as you can see more of the picture. So I vote for the widescreen.
Are you going to use it strictly as a PC monitor? If so, go beside the normal peak if you want to pay more. If you are going to use it for TV, shift with widescreen as they will not be broadcasting within 5:4 ratio in the hard by future. All broadcasting will be contained by widescreen aspect. I use a 23" widescreen LCD for my Xbox 360 with the right settings and mine looks fine. It also have PC connections so I don't really think it matter much as far as how text looks.
The wide open screens are intended for viewing DVD movies. If you are doing mostly computer programs you will probably be more rewarded with a mundane screen, because the wide open screen will stretch out the eyeshade and distort images. For example, if you use CAD and draw a circle, it will render on the blind like an egg.
