It is a technological and marketing credit. A curved screen will pick up a spot of scowl SOMEWHERE on the screen almost other. It isn't very bothersome on a TV, because you'll merely move a bit or close the drapes to get rid of the glower. You stay pretty much in one position if front of a monitor, so if you enjoy a glare spot, it'll bug you, and you can't other get rid of it. Flat eyeshade monitors don't pick up as much glare, usually. It's adjectives or nothing for them. It make a good selling point, so they trade more, especially if someone mistakes flat SCREEN (CRT) for flat PANEL (LCD)

CRTs do still produce the best overall picture and lifespan ... the others are catching up though.
There is not a single difference between the Curved or Flat Screen Monitors of CRT. 1, because it is still a CRT monitor. I believe they create flat peak crt monitors because it redirects glare or something like that. But what the other gentlemen said, LCD would be a flat PANEL.... lately to clarify. a flat SCREEN is CRT :) happy to assist

CRT Monitors are obsolete except for impressively special purposes
They can display contrasts better then Flat Panel monitors but they are mature technology.
And curved Monitors have not be around for four or so years now.
