first try wiggling the chord around at the backbone of the computer. see if that does anything. how old is this monitor? sort sure the power chord of the monitor is plugged in as capably. try hitting the button on the monitor. do you have another monitor to try? or conceivably another computer to plug the monitor in? vitally you want to try and figure out where on earth exactly the problem is coming from. it sounds like the monitor to me. well brought-up luck!
Your monitor might not be able to manipulate the resolution that the computer is set to.
See if you can borrow a newer monitor from a friend, and get it to come on.
Then set the resolution lower by right clicking on the desktop, pick properties, and dance into the settings tab. Run the slider all the bearing to the left, and consequently try your monitor out.
Sounds like a short surrounded by the wiring. If you hold another monitor that you know works try plugging that one in to see if it still happen. If not then the card perchance bad. Also are you plugging the monitor surrounded by before you boot up or while it is booted up? that may bring problems too.
