Try replacing the chain connecting your CPU and you monitor. The connection may be loose.
first check that the monitor works. Do this by replacing another monitor next to your just to verify that it is not a problem near the monitor. ask a friend to lend you theirs. if the same problem occur disconnect every port on your computer including keyboard, mouse, modem, router etc. etc. the solitary thing connected to the computer should be the monitor. (sometimes a hitch in one of these nouns cause the computer to work silly. i get alot of similar problem next to my modem. so i just disconnect it when i start up the cpu later reconnect after log in. Just within case the computer would work next to everything disconnected then u should try starting it up next to the mouse and keyboard subsequent. to verify it work with these two connected. and if it does subsequent try any other device you need to install. until you find the corporate. Im not sure this is the remedy buts its worth the try.
Sounds close to your driver file get corrupted or your new resolution setting not supported by the monitor.
Reboot contained by safe mode and set your monitor to VGA 640x480 16 color. Reboot again surrounded by normal mode and set to hi res or reinstall your illustrative card driver and set to hi res. Any luck?
Maybe you plug the computer in a slighter voltage source.
