Why haven't CRTs be replaced by more modern display technology?

Answer:
they own really. the companies are slowly phasing them out, by flooding the market next to TFT and LCD screens. As the technology is still comparatively expensive to CRT, it's still person offered as a cheaper alternative.
Give it a couple more years and there won't be any foreign CRTs on sale
Duuuuuhhhhhhh..... All lofty definition TV's use other technologies. There is Plasma, Liquid Crystal, and DLP (mirror) projection... none are crt!

Perhaps, if you were Rip Van Winkle, this cross-examine would be serious.

Hey, CRT devices are fast going away as they are individual pushed out by LCDs, Plasmas, etc. The pushing out was not significant because of the giant cost of producing the newer technologies contained by the early years of their invention.

Now that the production processes are more ripened after a few years, the new technology are beginning to bring over CRTs very hurriedly.

Nobody ever buys CRT monitors anymore, unless they have a specialized use that requires CRT. Otherwise, most everyone buys a LCD for something like $100-$200 that functions so much better and so much more reliably.
CRT's are still the cheapest and sometimes people will still stir for the cheapest. Where I live it gets over 115 within the summer, yet I know someone who bought a NEW motor without an nouns conditioner (I don't have one but its from 1969, never have one, and only cost me $425)
citizens like still CRT because it have Multisync Capable, High Refresh Rates, Color Clarity and Depth where have LCD Blurry Images Outside Native Resolution, Motion Blur on Fast Moving Images ,Come Models Have Reduced Color Clarity
CRT are mainly used within graphics designing ,.........
