Windows (Sony Vaio CR series) or Mac (Macbook)?
With that said, is a Macbook with Parallels Desktop (Windows XP) better, or a Sony Vaio CR beside Windows Vista better for me? I've used Sony Vaio S260 for a few years and it works fine except for the incredibly loud fan clamour. I like Vaios within general, and I've other used PCs but is it time to switch to Mac?
I've played with both and here are some thoughts I have: Macbook keyboard is a bit discomfited to use. Vaio CR keyboard is quieter and more comfortable. Vaio CR's shiny screen make it bad for outdoor use. Macbook have a better battery natural life (3-4 hours vs. 2-3 hours). Macbook has little room for upgrades (2GB push max). Vaio CR comes with 2GB knock against for the similar price (4GB max).
I'm still lost. Please help!

The CR have a loose battery issue but I would never recommend Mac.
I enjoy switched from a PC to a mac, and have found the mac better for surfing the web then any other computer. The mac comes next to word, and many other programs that other computers hold. The days of trying to convert programs are over with. Macs interact beside all types of computers but simplify your medium programs better then most PC's.
Looks close to you've done your research!
I'm a Mac person, so I'd articulate get a Mac, but if it's not comfortable for you to use, afterwards get the Sony.
I use Mac because I resembling them. They're more stable, and I NEVER worry roughly speaking getting a virus.
Although I don't usually use a Mac, in your situation, it might be the best alternative for you. Especially considering that you can run Windows XP or Vista well from a Mac if you ever need to. I'm not sure nearly 'downloads that require windows explorer', window explorer is only a database manager. Some applications won't run from a Mac and vice versa, so be sure to amount out if it's worth it for you to use a Mac instead. Also, try out a Macbook in the store and see if you approaching the workflow, as it differs from that of Windows XP.
