A Laptop! Confused which Brand & configuration to buy...?
Well i enjoy been through similar examine but i have a touch different scenario.
I am designer and developer who uses heavy softwares
I will to buy a Laptop which is either available within UK or INDIA which is not only prompt but good surrounded by looks too.
After surveying the market the info i own is
HP(DV 6117) is OK
Toshiba (M100)is Good
Sony Vaio(vgn fe 31M(UK model) vgn fe38(India) is both good contained by looks and performance.
As such i approaching the last one. But Please back me to decide the right one.
My Range is 900 GBP or 80,000 Indian Rs

Go beside the one with the best proccesor most run into and best graphic cards. Vaios are the best laptops you can go and get if your a power user. Make sure it has Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate. Vista is the most immobilize and best looking windows nonetheless. Really good for network.

Buy the cheapest one. The least it could do is work properly.
