I own a compaq presario 700 and it wont boot up unless i tern it on and past its sell-by date close to 30 times?

If your discussion about the M700 Laptop later more than likely it the switch, the problem is it on the motherboard also it could be a desperate capacitor so when you remove the board check the tops of your capacitors, if any are bulged up then they are fruitless, the top should be flat and round. the power switch look like a small box next to a silver round cap surrounded by the middle and four prongs soldered to the circuit board, it better to test it until that time you remove it, anyway if you don't have the tools or fathom out then pocket it to a shop.
It could be a power supply problem Contact Compaq, and ask for tech support.
more likely the switch contact exact support (num. on bottom of comp)
