Blk MacBook or 15" MacBook Pro? Serious answers please!?
I really want to figure this out. School starts on the 23rd, and I call for to go take one of these before next!
I like the affordability and color of the black Macbook.
On the other paw, I really like the design, and sleekness of the MBPro. Also, I love the power that the element possesses.
BTW, I will obviously use a student discount. Which one to gain?

P.S. Do I "need" .Mac, and what will it do for me? Also, I noticed on the apple website that they propose a discount on Adobe Photoshop and it's only $199.99 w/ the laptop. I love photoshop, but could I do short it and use something else? And is it the full version?

okay if u do any gaming, or high train vidio editing get the macbook pro b/c it have a dedicated graphics card. that and the blind size is the only diffrence between them. i would travel with the macbook b/c its small and confident 2 carry around.
no u do not call for .mac. .mac gives u a @mac.com email address, 10gb of online space, and host a website.

intuitively i would get a dell because apple is road over priced and you can double what u get near dell
the black macbook is more expensive than the white one.. i think you mixed them up ($200 more i think). the macbook pro with the sole purpose comes in silver.
you don't "need" a mac. it's a choice.
you don't "need" photoshop, it's a choice. photoshop is superior to adjectives other graphics editing programs.
if you're concerned about price, procure a PC... specifically, a dell.
I would say move about with the macbook pro. Because it have more glossy and wide-ranging screen and high processor than macbook. Also graphic card and harddrive is more developed contained by the pro. But if you are going to use the student discount macbooks are fine too. Besides you can have a free iPod nano near the student discount.
since your just a student, i would suggest the mac book. the origin i picked that is b/c it is cheaper, and what would you involve w/ a mbpro? it's basically in recent times the macbook w/ a bigger screen, bigger thorny drive and more ram. and the reason macs are better than pc's is b/c no body has ever figure out how to put a virus on a mac, and how nice the new OSX is. and the drive that they cost so much is only b/c they come w/ the software you'll ever inevitability, except for maybe yahoo messenger, limewire, and things resembling that. and apple is also doing a deal that if you get hold of a macbook, you get a free ipod!
Ok, I am within college, and have used the MacBook, and tried the Mac Book pro. Get the MacBook, you do not inevitability the macbookpro's power, the MacBook already has plenty of power and storage. Although the MacBookPro looks fitting and has more power, but it is unnessicary and expensive, especially for college work.
I am not too adapted w/ the photoshop for the mac, but the built in photoshop is already a right working software program, you may want to give the mac software a shot earlier you upgrade to the other photoshop.
I also notice that you want to bring the black MacBook, but you could get a white one and put aside money if that is what you are looking for.
I also interest that several people are motto to get a dell, but I am against the dell's. Mac's are the strange thing surrounded by colleges, they work efectively, you get a great discount if you are a student, it make music sharing excelent in the doorms, and the Ichat program that comes built within is excelent, although you can also use Skype for a PC which is great, but the Ichat is a great program.
Also, don't forget that you will get to purchase a ipod Mini, and do the correspondence in rebate, (i don't know if they are still doing that) but i did it, and it be easy, no hastle and get the rebate in a timely comportment.
