Making a laptops complex drive bigger?

i hold this crappy 11gb laptop and i want to make the firm drive bigger(by at least 40gb) what do i obligation and how do i do it?

Answer:
add an external tricky drive. It increased mine by 80 gb.
Easy
Just buy another hard drive to be exact larger

the one you have will not grow by trickery of any kind
You would enjoy to replace your hard drive. Prices for 40 GB hardrives start at $80.00, not to mention you won't gain to keep that 11 GB you already enjoy.
take it out travel to ebay and order atleast a 60gig and throw that on surrounded by the trash
Do a search on the model notebook you enjoy to make sure it will support a larger drive.

At that point it is as simple as finding the thorny drive bay and replacing the 2.5in drive. This can be a chore on some models and a cake stir on others. Moving the Data to the new drive can be done next to software these days.

Laptop drives are going for almost a dollar per GB. The smaller drives are getting tough to find new and you may wrapping up up buying a used drive.
Make sure you back everything up.
buy an external firm drive
Well. the two people above me though you should grasp an external, but being external, I mull over that would end up person a bad cramp on a laptop.

Just get a untried hard drive, carry instructions on installation, back up your computer to dvd, trash the intricate drive and throw in the unusual one!

But it can be a hassle, so the easiest approach by far would be getting an external by far...
