Has anybody get an Acer Aspire 9301AWSMi laptop near pre-installed Vista? Have you have any problems beside it?
Answer:
ANYTHING with Vista is going to be a problem..
Here's some...
1) Third event drivers/applications are not allowed unless “approved” by Microsoft. Some of your favorite software won't run on Vista because the drivers hold not been "approved" by Microsoft. This also money that the digital camera you just bought may not be "allowed" to connect to the PC.
2) ALL medium copied thru Vista is SERIOUSLY degraded. The mp3s that you rip, are not allowed to be full characteristic. Same with DVD's.
3) Takes up too much of the already strained resources.
Personally, if XP ever go out of support, I'm going Linux
The above answer is interesting. If true it seems that microsoft doesn't want us to hold the same freedom that we own enjoyed for so masses years. But were the surety improves so do the hackers.
I only just bought an acer laptop, the second one in our household which come with free upgrade to vista home premium. Still haven't sent past its sell-by date for it yet and suggest I will only bother getting it because it's free. But its not going to be installed. I estimate this is a big big step for microsoft. They got it wrong contained by the past. Windows 98 have its glitches and ME was even worse. So along come windows 2000 and consequently xp. Then we had service pack 1 and afterwards 2. It looks to me as though they haven't been getting it entirely right for 10 years.
Give vista a miss until adjectives the glitches and supportive software are sorted. Buy an Acer laptop though. They are ACE R
