Help beside reformatting a Toshiba laptop?

That's what I used to reformat my Toshiba laptop, and it worked fine.
However, at hand is a notorious problem near the Toshiba laptop BIOS access. There's a manufacturer-set password that there simply is no guaranteed path to get around. It turns out that you don't want to access BIOS to boot from CD, though.
When you restart your computer next to the intention of reformatting, continually tap the right arrow push button while the Toshiba screen is displayed at the impressively beginning. Select the compact disc icon, the second from the gone, and press Enter. That will boot from CD.
Ah - I did this beside my XP Home disc. I'm not sure what the procedure is for the recovery disc that comes beside the laptop.
