Please comfort me beside my computer...?

My laptop have given me trouble ever since I bought it, which was contained by October 06'. It is an Acer and was bought at Circuit City. I get hold of warnings constantly around my wireless card or it just totally freezes up. I own contacted both Acer and Circuit City because it is still under warranty, but they preserve giving me the run around. Please tell me what more I can do!!

Answer:
It sounds to me approaching you have more of a hardware related issue than a software one. Acer will cover that to an extent because they come near a 1yr parts/labor limited warranty. Circuit City however have no obligation to you since it is extremely far out of the return term (14 days). Unless you bought a repair plan from them I will guarantee they will do nothing going on for it except give you Acer's repair hotline.

In response to the previous answers the worst item you can do is show up at the store and start making demands and accusations. That will administer the managers adjectives the more reason to show you the exit, believe me I work here. Honestly the customers that I try to go above and beyond for surrounded by this kind of a situation are those that I can communicate near at a mature plane, not the ones that come in and bestow me empty threats trying to blow rotten some steam. Nuff said.

Anyway, I totally see where you are coming from, I've be there next to a laptop myself. I'm willing to bet though that if you contact Acer they will fix or replace the laptop for you. They enjoy some of the best customer support in my experience. If you want their warranty repair is here:

Good luck and I hope the problem get fixed soon!
You will need to run full anti-virus/spyware scan and verbs your registry. I recommend you use these programs (they are free).

1) AVG anti-virus

2) Ad-aware spyware remover

3) Spybot - Search and Destroy spyware remover

4) CCleaner - registry and privacy cleaner

To be honest ACER isn't the best brand of laptop.
With laptops you always go and get trouble more than a pc to be honest.
Anyway, i suggest taking it rear legs to circuit city and demanding them to fix it.

Update all your drivers bring in sure the graphics driver is correctly installed as this sometimes causes the laptop to freeze up temporarially.
Run some wellbeing programs on the laptop.. I suggest you go to www.download.com There is a rummage bar at the top. Type surrounded by :
AVG FREE anti-virus download it then update it.. Then look for SPY BOT Search and Destroy..download it and update it.. After you update Spy Bot , click on "Immunize" on the chief Spy Bot page.. let it run ..A glass may pop up telling you, so lots things have be blocked and there are so oodles that can be blocked... if it does , then click vaccinate at the top. This loads the definitions. Click block page silently also.. Look for and download , Zone Alarm free fire wall also..You need one of these too. Then progress to www. lavasoft.com and look for AD-Aware SE personal edition..Download it and then update it... These programs are adjectives free..Then run all three programs. The Firewall runs itself.. You will want to run all three programs at lowest possible once a week..The AVG protects constantly. And can be set up to automatically update, and scan for problems. But you will have to accessible and check for updates and run the programs manually for the other 2.. I also recommend Abexo registry cleaner ( also available at download.com) but be careful when you delete registry files it may be something you want to hang on to look at each one formerly you delete them.
If this doesn't help..Tell Arcer , and Circuit City you want the laptop serviced. If they won't do it for you... Tell them you are going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. They do not want a complaint on their Business story.
If I were you, I wouldn't simply "Contact" Circuit City, I'd clutch the computer to them and demand an exchange, compensation, or tech support. They always seem to be to respond better when you're standing infront of them. If that doesn't work, unplug a cable in the labtop and recount Acer that you got it DOA and want to exchange or return it. Good luck.

Hope this help,
Ryanaven

PS: Taking the computer to be repaired by anyone besides CC or Acer may null and void the warranty. Be watchful.
